President and Chief Creative Officer of 180 Amsterdam

Al has spent over two decades in advertising, working with some of the most famous global brands at the world’s most creative agencies. He has extensive social campaign experience and has also won or judged every major advertising award worldwide. In the 90’s and early 00’s he worked as a Creative Director at TBWA/London and Mother London.  Then, in 2005, he moved to Amsterdam to take the helm of Wieden + Kennedy, as Executive Creative Director. In 2008 Al returned to London to set up his own shop, with a keen focus on corporate social responsibility. In 2010, Al was lured back to Amsterdam to join 180 as Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner to lead the resurgence of the agency. In 2013 he was promoted to President and Chief Creative Officer - overseeing all creative and business matters for the agency. Having a 'creative' in this role emphasizes the agency's unwavering devotion to creative excellence above all else.

Britta Heidemann is currently living and working in her birthplace Cologne (Germany). As a club member of the TSV Bayer 04 Sports Club she has been one of the internationally most successful and best-known fencing athletes within the last decade. Besides winning the gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 she also won the World Championships in 2007 and the European Championships in 2009, thus she was the first epee fencer ever who has won the “Golden Triple”.

During the London Olympic Games (2012) Britta again showed her presence among the world fencing elite by winning another silver medal, which has been the first medal for the German Olympic team during the London Olympics. Her semi-final win over her Korean opponent Shin-a-Lam has been described in German media as one of the most spectacular and dramatic moments in Olympic history.

After having received a diploma in Regional Sciences of East Asia (focus on China and Business Administration) Britta Heidemann works as a consultant for European companies who wish to invest into the Chinese market. Furthermore she accompanies political delegations to China and works as a reporter in Germany′s most renowned breakfast TV program.

As a freelancer she gives speeches at private company events about topics such as "success“ and "motivation“ and organizes fencing incentives/workshops that give managers the opportunity to experience real-life fencing events. In 2011 she wrote and published a book named “Success is a Matter of Attitude – What Fencing Can Teach You About Life”).

Britta Heidemann also supports different social projects for young people and works as a youth ambassador between Europe and China. She is a member of the German National Olympic Comittee (DOSB) as well as a member of the board of trustees in the trust of the German Football League (DFL).

Canada Carlos Moreno is one of the most successful creative directors in Canada. In his tenure as ECD of BBDO, it was named Canadian Agency of the Year by both Strategy Magazine and the Advertising and Design Club of Canada. Both firsts for the company. He was responsible in making the Toronto office a top 4 agency in the BBDO global network. In 2013, He was ranked #1 creative director in the country by Strategy Magazine. From 2004 to 2006, Carlos was Creative Directors and Partners at Amalgamated in New York working on Ben & Jerry’s and Cablevision. 

He has been twice included in the top ten list of most awarded art directors in the world by Boards magazine and The Gunn Report.

In 2006, He brought his skills to BBDO where he run a variety of blue chip accounts, including FedEx, PepsiCo, RBC, Wrigley and Mars. Carlos is a native of Guatemala. In 2011 he was nominated as one the most Influential Hispanics in Canada by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. As of 2015 Carlos has brought his talent to Cossette Communication to run McDonalds, General Mills, Intact, Sick Kids and Telus.

François CHILOT
President of Commercial Film Producers of Europe

President of Young Directors Award

In 1984, after working for 10 years as Director of Productions at TBWA, François Chilot founded LES PRODUCERS. By adopting this name, the company was conveying the idea that humour is the best elixir ever and also underlining its multicultural identity.

In 2000, LES PRODUCERS entered the list of the 10 best Production Companies in the world at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

For the past 15 years, François Chilot has been President of the CFP-E (Commercial Film Producers of Europe), which brings together the associations of advertising film producers from 17 European countries and represents over 600 production companies throughout Western Europe.

CFP-E is the instigator of the Young Director Award, THE not-to-miss fringe event of the Cannes Lions International Festival. YDA is the only award aimed at promoting young directing talents. It was created to give a better chance to these new directors, to maximise their media coverage and to remind the different actors from our profession that one of the essential roles of producers is to discover, nurture and promote directors.

Heather BOWLER

After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Communications Studies, Heather Bowler began her career at the British American Chamber of Commerce in California, USA, before moving to Paris to establish her working career in communications with Time Out. Heather progressed through the world of corporate communications with Lowe Lintas Advertising Agency and Initiative Media Worldwide before finally joining the Eurosport Group in 2007 as the International Media Relations Director, a role she held for just a year until she was appointed as the Global Communications Director for the whole of the Eurosport Group.

During her tenure at Eurosport Heather has been paramount in raising awareness and improving perception of the Eurosport brand, as well as vastly increasing media coverage. By developing strong B2B relationships, Eurosport’s media coverage has quadrupled, reaching a broader consumer base, which has also aided by newly-implemented “behind the scenes” onsite media and client operations. Further awareness of the Eurosport brand has been raised by training key Eurosport executives for public speaking, developing a calendar of high profile speaking engagements; from zero engagements even a few years ago Eurosport is now regularly invited to speak at global sport industry events. The successful integration of digital and social media as powerful channels of communication have further helped manage customer relations. Finally, Heather has helped to improve perception of the Eurosport brand through creating a trade event marketing team that targets visibility at strategic, high profile trade events.

Alongside the improved awareness and perception of the Eurosport brand, another of Heather’s achievements to date is creating the very first centrally-driven global corporate communications campaigns at Eurosport across all market. These include, amongst others, the launch of the Yahoo!Eurosport internet partnership in 2007, building awareness of as a brand, the Beijing Olympic Games “Unlimited” campaign in 2008 which featured the first ever Eurospean-wide advertising campaign to launch HD, the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games “Winter Zone” campaign, and most notably both the Eurosport’s 20th anniversary campaign in 2009, which changed the way Eurosport communicates to a more aggressive market approach, with over 700 dedicated external articles, and the 2011 modernisation of the brand universe, introducing the new tagline “All sports. All emotions.” and creating award-winning idents.

Heather is married with three children, bilingual in French and English, is a keen skier, and enjoys the positive aspects that life can bring.

  James HAGGER

James Hagger is the CEO and Executive Producer of Troublemakers a production company based in Paris. He began his career working in London as an Assistant Director on Feature films in the late 90’s working with such directors as Nick Love, Michael Dowse & Harmony Korine.

Ten years later James moved to Paris where he opened Troublemakers a production company based in the heart of Paris. Troublemakers represents French & International directors exclusively for France, Europe and others for the worldwide market. Seven years on the company currently counts over 20 directors on it’s roster and produces commercials, music video and digital content.

James has produced films for a wide variety of brands including Coca-Cola, Louis Vuitton, Canal+, Amnesty International, WWF, SNCF, Amazon, Orange, L’Oréal, Nissan, Nestlé, American Express, La Poste, Banque Populaire, BNP Paribas, Peroni…

James was appointed Jury member of the Film Craft Section of the D&AD awards in 2011, Eurobest festival in 2014 and Jury member for the end of year students of Les Gobelins Animation School 2014. In the last 7 years Troublemakers has won over 50 awards worldwide from the Cannes Lions, D&AD Awards, Promax BDA to New York Festivals.

Executive Creative Director of The Monkeys

Scott is a founding partner and Executive Creative Director of Sydney creative agency The Monkeys. 

Scott started The Monkeys with Mark Green and Justin Drape in June 2006. In 2012 Scott, Mark and Justin also started design company Maud along with David Park. In nine short years they’ve grown from three founders to over 100+ employees.

Scott has judged numerous award shows including Cannes Lions, Clio, AWARD, MADC, Caxtons, Cannes Young Lions and has been a keynote speaker at the Caxtons, Semi-Permanent - the world’s biggest design conference - and AWARD. 

Prior to The Monkeys Scott worked at Bozell Worldwide, FCB Melbourne and Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney, creating some of Australia’s most popular and awarded campaigns - Fox Sports, Stihl and Olympus to name a few – work that would help Saatchi & Saatchi win agency of the year three years running.  

Scott has written and directed award winning short films, web and television series, including teaming with Andrew Denton’s Zapruder’s Other Films to create, write and produce the critically acclaimed comedy drama 30 Seconds, nominated in the 2010 Logies, the AFI Awards and The Australian Writers Guild Awards. 

Scott is an integral part of the The Monkeys success having worked on campaigns for Telstra, Homer Hudson, Ice Break, Ubank, Oak, Yahoo!7, Toby’s Estate, Blackmores and the award winning campaign for MLA.

Born Februay 25, 1977 in Toronto Canada, Mark Zibert has been shooting since 2000.  His first major opportunity, at the age of 23, was a national campaign for Nike. Since that successful project Zibert has expanded his client list and methods, working globally as a commercial director, DOP and photographer.

Projects include the Adidas Olympic advertising campaign for the 2008 Games in Beijing. Zibert and team spent 3 months in China shooting the nations top athletes for what is considered the biggest single market campaign in Adidas history.  The campaign won China it's first Cannes Gold Lion and also won photography campaign of the year at the Lucie Awards in New York City.

Working outside the commercial realm is equally important to him. Zibert has traveled throughout Africa to shoot documentary work for various Non Government Organizations as well as documenting and creating films for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Chief Creative Officer of The Leo Burnett Group Thailand

Sompat started his advertising career 25 years ago as an Art Director. His first experience was in a small advertising agency named Triplet & August, following 10 years with Grey Thailand and 12 years with The Leo Burnett Group Thailand.

He used to work for P&G, Tesco Lotus, Samsung, Chevrolet, Heineken, Carlsberg, McDonalds, etc.

He is responsible for the creativity of The Leo Burnett groups, which are Leo Burnett, Arc Worldwide, Black Pencil and Alpha 24.

Over the years, he has won numerous of national and international awards, such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, ANDY awards, New York Festivals, London International awards, etc. Specially in 2014, he has won the first TAOTIE CUP (Grand Prix).
